What a professional handicapper actually does
A handicapper prices games. The work is comparing an independent estimate of a matchup against the number a sportsbook is offering, then wagering only where the gap is large enough to survive the vig. It is closer to trading than to picking winners: most of the edge comes from rejecting the games that are fairly priced.
That is why a professional record is measured in hundreds of plays across full seasons. Any bettor can post a hot week. The number that matters is what a documented log looks like once football, baseball, basketball and hockey have all been through their variance.

How to judge any handicapper's record
Every official selection is written down with its date, matchup, side and price while the game is still unplayed. A record only means something when nothing can be added after the fact.
Losing plays, losing weeks and losing months remain on the site. Any handicapper whose record only moves in one direction is showing you a highlight reel, not a record.
A push is not a win. Win percentage is calculated on decided plays only, so the number on this site is comparable to the number a bettor actually lives with.
One unit per play unless a play is explicitly noted otherwise. No hidden 5 unit plays used to rescue a bad stretch.
